Bird Island Inn B&B is located in the historic Town of Elliston. This community is situated in Newfoundland which is the most easterly province in Canada. More specially we are located in Trinity Bay on the north eastern tip of the historic Bonavista Peninsula just a few minutes away from Bonavista. Newfoundland Map Here

By road we can be reached by turning off the Trans Canada Highway in the vicinity of Clarenville onto Route 230A or 230. Continue on 230 for about 1 hour and 10 minutes, turn onto Route 238 and you are here in minutes. We are located on the main road through Elliston (27 Main Street) just past the local post office.

Local taxi services regularly make trips to and from the capital city.

If you are coming from off the Island, we are about 3 to 3 ˝ hours from St. John's International Airport and 2 ˝ from Gander International Airport. Airlines provide air service to Newfoundland from major centers in North America with connections available from several other nations.

Access by sea is maintained by Marine Atlantic between Nova Scotia and Newfoundland. During the Summer an additional run is provided between Argentia, Newfoundland and North Sydney, Nova Scotia. Elliston is about 2 ˝ hours by road to the Marine Atlantic Ferry terminal in Argentia. It is about 8 to 9 hours by road from the Port Aux Basques terminal.
