Saint Mary's Anglican Church has been named a historical site by Heritage Canada, having been constructed in the early 1870s.
It was dedicated as a Methodist church, became United in 1925, on 18 May 1902. |

Elliston has two remaining churches: Saint Mary's Anglican Church and the United Church of Elliston.
The United Church records show that construction on this church began in 1901 and was completed in the spring of 1902.
